The wear behaviors of FKM and NBR and their blends (5∶5 and 2∶8) with the same hardness were investigated in the MPV 600 type abrasive wear tester under base oil lubrication conditions. By changing the load and speed,comparative analysis was performed for dynamic friction and wear characteristics of the rubber and metal in order to obtain the FKM/NBR blends used as the stator rubber of progressing cavity pump.Wear morphology of the rubber was observed using the stereo microscope in order to analyze the wear mechanism.Experimental results show that the blend rubber with the ratio of 2∶[KG-*2]8 of FKM and NBR has lower wear loss and smaller frictional coefficient,its wear is slightly higher than that of FKM under oil lubrication conditions.The wear mechanism of NBR belongs to abrasive wear,and the wear mechanism of FKM and blend rubbers are the fatigue wear under oil lubrication conditions.
