Abstract:Based on the correction equation about entrance pressure loss and Reynolds equation with the chocked flow,a theoretical model of high speed airflow of hydrostatic lubrication was built to analyze the entrance pressure loss, which was proven by an experiment. Results show that the enhance pressure loss has significant influence on pressure distribution. With the increasing clearance, the pressure loss is enhanced first slowly, then increased significantly while the value of Reynolds number is between 104 and 106,and kept unchanged finally. The entrance pressure loss is enhanced with the increasing operating pressure, then kept constant. Results of the experiments are consistent with that of the theoretical analysis, which verifies that the correction equation of turbulent regime can be applied to investigate the pressure distribution of high speed airflow of hydrostatic lubrication.
