Abstract:By using simplified Reynolds equation with infinitely short approximation,the numerical analysis of fluid lubrication was made for three new waterlubricated journal bearings of Tenmat,Thordon and PTFE,the effect of different load and speed on the eccentricity ratio and attitude angle of three kinds of bearings was investigated.The results show that,under water lubrication,different materials have different lubricating properties,PTFE material has the largest pressure and central film thickness,Tenmat material has the least pressure and central film thickness.The eccentricity ratio of three materials’ bearing is all decreased with the speed increases,but the attitude angle is all increased.With the increasing of the load,the eccentricity ratio of them is increased,but the attitude is decreased.Too large of the eccentricity ratio will result in much thinner lubrication film,which will cause high temperature of bearing,and has an adverse effect on the bearing.
