Abstract:The mathematical model of the aviation oil filter was built by the computational fluid dynamics(CFD)method.The effect of resistance on the filter was simulated based on the porous media model,and the filter was replaced by porous jump surfaces(porous jump)to imitate the filter pressure drop.The filtration efficiency was simulated by the discrete phase model(DPM),and the user defined function(UDF)was applied to the surface of the porous jump for trapping particles in the calculation.The flow field of the aviation oil filter was analyzed,and the relationships between the pressure loss,filtration efficiency of aviation oil filter and the oil inlet velocity were researched,which provided a reference for the aviation oil filter structure optimization.
