A method to optimize the extrusion resistance and abrasion resistance of Y-sealing ring based on finite element analysis was described. The sealing performance and extrusion resistanceof Y sealing ring under diverse pressures were analyzed, rounding chamfer was suggested to improve the extrusion resistance of the root of the original structure of Y-sealing ring at high fluid pressure, and suitable chamfer length was chosen by analyzing. The orthogonal design method was used to investigate the effects of structure parameters of Y-sealing ring on friction performance, and optimal values of parameters were chosen based on total radial force and max contact pressure. The optimized structure of Y-sealing ring has higher contact pressure and lower friction.
