For bolt flange connection system, flange connection reliability is more influenced by local compressive stress rather than mean compressive stress. Nevertheless, the stress distribution on gasket cannot be determined by current technique experimentally. An analytical solution of stress radial distribution on gasket was proposed by considering the influence of internal pressure on the mechanical property of flange rotating angle and gasket. The result of analytical solution and numerical solution is consistent, and although the stress value on the inner rim of gasket by analytical solution is less that that by numerical solution, the error between them meets the requirement of engineering accuracy. The analytical result shows that the stress on gasket is in nonuniform distribution in radial direction, it is increased from inner rim to outer rim.
