Abstract:The Influences of hydraulic oil and aviation kerosene on the tribological performance of the self-lubricating PTFE fabric composites were studied by a pin-on-disc friction and wear tester. The worn surfaces were analyzed by using the scanning electron microcopy (SEM),and the wear mechanism was also discussed. The results show that the wear resistance ability and limit load capacity of the composites are decreased due to the effect of oil mediums, and the composites immersed hydraulic oil exhibit worse wear resistance ability. After immersion treatment, the wear form of the composites transfers from adhesive wear to fatigue wear during friction, the bond property between fiber and resin is decreased, which leads to the deterioration of the wear resistance ability of the composites.
