Abstract:Because of special working conditions in space, the tribological problems in moving parts are complicated. It can be seen that the requirements of space moving parts on application research of tribology are much eager from satellite on board failure analysis and the new expects of aerospace tasks. The main research contents of space tribology can be classified into four aspects: the long life lubrication technology of space precision shafting, the technical skill of long-life lubrication, the applied technology of key materials, lubrication life experiment and evaluation technology. The specific research contents, research status and their role in long life high reliability tribological design were presented. According to the requirements of space tasks and the existed key problems to be solved, the research direction which need to study further in space tribology and its application were brought forward.
