The influence on calcium sulfonate complex grease performance was studied through the sources of overbased calcium sulfonate, the material adding sequence and feeding ratio of 〖JP+2〗overbased calcium sulfonate and base 〖JP〗oils in the conversion process, the quantity and ways of adding of the tackifier. The mechanism of conversion and tackifying of calcium sulfonate complex was analyzed.Result shows that the overbased calcium sulphonate is the key raw materials for preparing calcium sulfonate complex greases, which has most significant effect on the grease lubrication performance. Changing the feeding sequence and adding ratio of overbased calcium sulfonate and conversion base oils in the conversion process will all affect the crystal structure transformation of calcium carbonate, thus influence the thickness and colloid stability. The oil separation can be decreased and the adhesion can be improved effectively by adding tackifier before high temperature refining process.
