Abstract:To improve the seal performance of newtype polyurethane(PU)and polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)widely used in modern seal industry,contrast experiments of the wettability and the tribological performance were carried out.The wear property under different frictional status was analyzed,and the effects of contact pressure and rotational speed were discussed.The results indicate that the wettability of PU is higher than that of PTFE.The wear resistance of PU is obviously better than that of PTFE,and the PU surface has no obvious wear under the experimental conditions of dry friction,drip lubrication and oil lubrication.Under the dry friction condition,the wear loss of PTFE is mainly affected by the speed of frictional ring;Under the drip lubrication condition,the rotating speed of friction ring and the contact pressure have an effect on the wear loss of PTFE to some extend;Under the oil lubrication condition,the wear loss of PTFE is mainly affected by the contact pressure.
