The three characteristics apparently shown in the process of standardization promotion by international organizations were summarized,such as continuously improving in making and revising of oil monitoring standards,much attention paid to systematic construction during its process in making and revising of oil monitoring standards and professional companies from many fields taking part in making and revising of oil monitoring standards.By combining results already achieved by domestic organizations for standardization,it was proposed in the future in China,the combining of standardization and innovation must be paid attention to in the development process,and consistent harmonic implementation of product technical innovation system and standardization system should be emphasized.As to the already built standards,channels able to collect more suggestions and advices should be provided. Making of basic standards must be sped up. 
