Abstract:Wear failure is one of the most common failure forms for the water lubricated stern bearing.Accordingly,there is important practical significance to research its wear life.Based on the Streibeck curves and Meeks model of water lubricated stern tube bearing,an accelerated life test of the bearing was designed,and the life characteristic parameters of the bearing were obtained by experiments.The Weibull distribution was solved by the method of grey estimation to achieve the bearing life assessment model.The life characteristic parameters were input to the assessment model to obtain life distribution model of the water lubricated stern tube bearing.The experimental results show that the model is of high precision,which can be used for the wear reliability life test of the sliding bearing in practical engineering.
