Abstract:Based on the principle of fluid mechanics,considering the motion of sealing rings,the Reynolds equation for hydrostatic pressure mechanical seal in nuclear power pump was established,flow type of flow field was analyzed,the analytic expressions for radial pressure of liquid film,liquid film stiffness and damping were established.The influence of structural parameters on film pressure,stiffness and damping were analyzed.The distribution curve of film pressure in radial direction was got by Least Squares Method.By MATLAB programming,the distribution curves of film stiffness and damping changing with face coned angle and turning radius were obtained.Analysis results show that the stiffness is reduced along with the increasing of turning radius and face coned angle,the damping is increased along with the increasing of turning radius,and reduced along with the increasing of face coned angle.Face coned angle should get its value close to the 2′,turning radius should get its value between 130 mm to 140 mm.
