The tribological performance of carbon fiber reinforced carbon matrix composites (C/C composites) was studied under oil lubrication condition.The friction coefficients of C/C composites were determined under high specific pressure and oil lubrication conditions,which were compared with dry friction conditions.The results show that the friction coefficients of C/C composites are between 01 and 017 under the load of 500 MPa to 720 MPa,the speed of 300 r/min to 1 200 r/min and oil lubrication,while they are between 013 and 027 under dry friction,which show that C/C composites have better friction behaviors under oil lubrication conditions.As contrasted with oil lubrication,the wear trace under dry friction condition is obviously shown on carbon fiber of the surface of C/C composites,which shows that C/C composites have better wear resistance under oil lubrication conditions.
