The supporting characteristics of flow distribution shaft in a ball piston pump at the steady operating condition were studied.The flow field model was developed and the hydrostatic pressure was solved using the resistance network method.Considering the radial force obtained by the hydrostatic pressure and hydrodynamic force,a dynamic model was built,and the effect of the operating pressure on shaft micromovement was analyzed.The results show that the flow distribution shaft can be supported efficiently at steady operating condition and has a larger stability margin.The eccentricity of the flow distribution shaft is increased with increasing the operating pressure and decreased with increasing the rotating speed,therefore the flow distribution shaft has a larger eccentricity at the operating condition of high pressure and low rotating speed,and it is more easily to be worn
