For the sharing load characteristics of tiltingpad thrust bearing when the rotor axis is inclined in a high reliability vertical rotorbearing system,the sharing load and influencing factors of the bearing with adaptive equalizing beams supported were studied.The adaptive dynamic model of an equalizing beam component was established,and a coupled model of bearingbeam system with inclined rotor axis was obtained when considering fulcrum elastic deformation.A nonuniform coefficient was put forward to present the sharing load capacity of the bearingbeam component.Based on these models,the sharing load capacity and factors of operating condition parameters and structure parameters are analyzed.The results show that the sharing load capacity of equalizing beam component is not completely shared,the capacity is decreased with the increasing of bearing load and axis angle,and the sharing load capacity is greatly influenced by the pivot sphere radius of thrustpad and weakly influenced by the connected cylindrical radius and the supporting cylindrical radius of bottom equalizing beam.For the vertical rotorbearing system,it’s necessary to reasonably control the rotor axis inclined angle to improve the thrust bearing load capacity and the system service performance.
