Abstract:In consideration the cavitation effect,oil film characteristics of three oil groove journal bearing were analyzed in turbulent flow condition using two phase flow model of Fluent,and the oil film capacity and distribution of cavitation were studied at different inlet pressures and viscosities.Results show that the bearing capacity of the three oil groove journal bearing is increased with the increasing of inlet pressures,and the area of the cavitation zone and high proportion of cavitation are reduced,which can prevent the occurrence of cavitation completely.The bearing capacity of the three oil groove journal bearing is increased with the increasing of lubricating oil viscosity,but the cavitation phenomenon is intensified in the divergence area of oil film,and the proportion of cavitation is increased.In practical application,the lubricating oil viscosity should be rationally chosen.
