Abstract:The traction behavior of a calcium sulfonate complex grease was tested on a selfmade testbed by simulating the actual working conditions of the bearing, and the traction curves of the complex grease were analyzed. The fitting and regression analysis of the experimental data were carried out by using the TeaarwerkJonson (TJ) elasticplastic model and a four parameter exponential model, and the prediction model for the drag characteristics of this complex grease was discussed. The results indicate that this complex grease has excellent lubricating at medium and low speed, heavy and light load, its drag coefficient is increased with the increase of load and decreased with the increase of rolling speed, the slope in the linear region of the drag curve is almost the same at high speed. When the working load is large, there is a big error in the fitting result of TJ model, indicating that the TJ model is not suitable to fit the drag curves with obvious thermal effect. The four parameter exponential model has higher fitting accuracy to the overall experimental data, which can be used to study the drag characteristics of this complex grease.
