Abstract:The swing of the pads on the tilting pad bearing increases the DOF of the system and has a great influence on the calculation of oil film dynamic coefficients of the bearing,while in the current study,the effects of the perturbation frequency of the shaft and pads do not be considered when calculating the dynamic coefficients of hydrodynamic lubricating tilting pad bearings.Frequecyreduced dynamic model of the tilting pad bearings was presented by considering the effects of the perturbation frequency.Frequecyreduced oil film dynamic coefficients matrix with considering perturbation frequency was investigated.The equilibrium position of the pads and journal at a given static load was found by NewtonRaphson method,the FEM method was used to calculate the oil film forces and the dynamic coefficients of journal.The numerical results indicate that the directterms of the stiffness coefficients is reduced,while the directterms of the damping coefficients is increased,and the crosscoupling terms of the stiffness and damping coefficients change little with increasing perturbation frequency.
