Abstract:In order to improve the performance of floating ring bearings in high speed and heavy load situation,the surface texture was prepared on the inner surface of the floating ring bearing,the influence of the surface texture on the ring speed ratio of the floating ring bearings at different loads and speeds was investigated and compared with that of the non woven floating ring bearings.The results show that the ring speed ratio of non woven floating ring bearings is decreased with the increasing of spindle speed when the load is increased,while the ring speed ratio of the woven floating ring bearings is larger than that of the non woven floating ring bearings under the same working condition,and the ring speed ratio of the woven floating ring bearings will not decrease significantly with the increasing of the load.The texture can significantly improve the bearing capacity of floating ring bearings,can make the floating ring start at low spindle speed,thus improving the performance of floating ring bearings under high speed and heavy load conditions.
