Abstract:The effects of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) on the properties of nitrile rubber (NBR) were studied.The results show that the addition of CNTs can improve the hardness,strength and modulus of NBR,while it has no significant impact on the tear performance,resilience,media resistance,and low temperature performance.The NBR with the short fiber CNTs has better compression set performance than the NBR with long fiber CNTs.The performance test of NBR oil seals with CNTs was performed.The results show that CNTs can significantly improve the service life of NBR oil seals,especially at high speeds.
