Abstract:In order to improve the analysis efficient of the sealing property of downhole blowout preventer(BOP) bypass openclose nipple,ABAQUS was redeveloped based on Python language and ABAQUS GUI Toolkit,and a parametric calculation program was developed.The redeveloped program can efficiently deal with the repetitive work in studying the sealing property of downhole BOP bypass openclose nipple by ABAQUS and improve the analysis efficiency.The program developed was applied to analyze the force acting on the valve core and valve seat of the bypass openclose nipple under different loads and taper angles.The results show that when the maximum Mises stress of the valve core and valve seat does not exceed the yield strength of the material,the sealing performance of the bypass openclose nipple is improved with the increase of load,while with the increase of the conic angle,the sealing performance is deteriorated.
