Abstract:A wear subroutine used for simulating long time wear behavior of selflubrication bearing was developed and successfully combined with commercial nonlinear FEA software,ABAQUS.This wear subroutine could calculate the instantaneous nodal wear rate from contact pressure and sliding speed etc,and then adjust contact surface profile automatically based on the change of wear depth to form new contact surface and pressure distribution.Thus,stress distribution of bearing,contact pressure,contact area etc.could be updated continuously with the change of wear depth during wear simulation.Based on the new developed wear subroutine,the wear behavior of self lubricated bearing during long time running was simulated,the wear depth,contact pressure and deformation in different regions of bushing during operation were calculated,and the evolution of them with time was analyzed.The simulation results show that after long time wear,the real contact pressure and area is very different with the initial values.The predicted wear depth and contact pressure evaluation are consistent with the results published in literatures,which validates the model is effective and reliablethe.
