Abstract:Due to the cantilever action of the turbine rotor and the turbine spray cup,the high speed pneumatic turbine is prone to inclined shaft during operation. To investigate the influence of inclined shaft on the performance of porous gas journal bearings, two kinds of porous gas journal bearings with double grooves and single grooves were designed. The effects of structural errors such as variable thickness distribution of porous materials, eccentricity and inclination angle and systematic motion errors on the performance of the bearings were analyzed. The results show that the stiffness and bearing capacity of the double groove structure are higher than that of the single groove structure under the same eccentricity. In the condition of high speed operation, the double groove structure has higher torque in the vertical and horizontal directions with the increase of inclination angle. With the increase of eccentricity, the stiffness of the double groove is higher than that of the single groove,so the double groove structure has better antitilt capacity. With the increase of air film thickness, the torque in the vertical and horizontal directions of the two structures is decreased, which indicates that the air film thickness has a certain influence on the bearing antitilt capacity.
