A new type discondisc simulation tribotestrig(WAZAU) was proposed to evaluate the antishudder property of ATFs.The antishudder property of two ATF oils was evaluated by WAZAU,and the results were compared with that by traditional low velocity friction apparatus (LVFA).The results show that the friction characteristic curves (friction coefficientvelocity curves) measured by WAZAU and LVFA have a high fitting degree,and the main components of the friction chemical reaction film on the steel surface after the test are basically the same,which confirms that the test results by WAZAU and LVFA have a high positive correlation.WAZAU is a miniature version of LVFA,compared with LVFA,WAZAU has the advantages of less oil consumption and simple operation.It is more intuitive than LVFA in detecting noise,vibration and comfort,and can be used as a fast simulation evaluation method to study the friction characteristics of ATFs.
