To study the influence of the structural parameters of the spiral pumping ring for mechanical seal on its pumping performance,Fluent was used to simulate the internal flow field of the spiral pumping ring with different structural parameters,and the pressure distribution of the flow field inside the pumping ring was obtained.The head was calculated,the influence of different structural parameters on the flowhead relationship of the screw pumping ring was analyzed.The results show that the axial groove width of the spiral groove,the gap between the outer diameter of the pumping ring and the inner diameter of the transition seat have a significant influence on the pumping performance.The head is increased first and then decreased with the increase of the axial groove width of the spiral groove,and decreased obviously with the increase of the gap between the outer diameter of the pumping ring and the inner diameter of the transition seat.The number of pumping ring threads,the depth of the spiral groove, and the spiral length of the spiral groove have a certain effect on the pumping performance.The head is increased first and then decreased with the increase of the number of threads,and increased with the increase of the groove depth and the spiral length of the spiral groove.
