Abstract:In order to study the friction behavior of TC4 alloy on fretting wear transition zone, the fretting wear test of GCr15 steel ball and alloy TC4 friction pairs in ballplane contact was carried out under 100 N normal load by using SRVIV fretting friction and wear tester. The range of fretting wear transition zone of TC4 alloy was obtained, the evolution of friction coefficient and the surface morphology of wear mark under different states were analyzed, and the change of wear 〖JP3〗mechanism was studied. The results show that in the fretting state, the friction coefficient fluctuates violently in the runningin〖JP〗 stage and tends to be stable after reaching the stable wear stage, and the friction coefficient in the stable state is increased with the increase of the displacement amplitude. In the reciprocating sliding state, the friction coefficient curves under different displacement amplitudes almost coincides and fluctuates violently. In the fretting wear transition zone, the change of the friction coefficient is in the transition stage of two states. In the fretting state, the profile of the wear mark is rough, the damage is slight, and the wear mechanism is mainly adhesive wear and fatigue stripping. In the reciprocating sliding state, the profile of the wear mark is smoother and the damage is serious, and the wear mechanism is mainly abrasive wear and plastic deformation. The profile of fretting wear transition zone changes from rough to smooth, the wear depth and width are suddenly increased, and the wear mechanism changes from adhesive wear to abrasive wear.
