Abstract:The wear behavior of packer of ram blowout preventer(BOP) during snubbing service was studied to reduce the wear of the wearresistant block of the packer in ram BOP.Taking the ram packer used in an oilfield as the object,the main wear mechanism of wearresistant block and the influence of pipes surface roughness on the wear mechanism of the wearresistant block were analyzed from a microscopic perspective.The dynamic and static sealing model was developed based on finite element software,and the influences of different working conditions and friction coefficient on the sealing performance of the packer and the wear behavior of the wearresistant block were analyzed from the macroscopic perspective.The results indicate that the main wear mechanism of the wearresistant block during snubbing service is abrasive wear and fatigue wear,and the greater the pipes surface roughness,the more serious the wear of wearresistant block.The main reason for the serious wear of the upper part of the wearresistant block is the stress concentration on the upper part of wearresistant block caused by the wellbore pressure.The friction coefficient between the pipe and the arc surface of the wearresistant block shall be controlled within 0.1,and otherwise,the wear of the wearresistant block will be accelerated
