Abstract:The composite bearing of a new large marine induction propulsion motor is easy to wear and difficult to monitor during operation.According to the structure and operation characteristics of the motor bearing, the threedimensional finite element model of the motor bearing was built, the frictional stress of motor bearing was simulated, and the wear of motor bearing was studied based on the results of simulation. The simulated results show that the frictional stress is bigger at the bearing edge, and smaller at the middle part, the serious wear parts of bearing locate on both edges of the bearing.Combined with the reliability experiment of motor, the lubricating oil and bearing material of motor bearing were tested by atomic emission spectrometer (AES) and libs spectrometer, respectively. The results show that the condition of bearing wear can be detected through monitoring the elements of Na and Ca in the lubricating oil.
