Abstract:As a key part of load transfer in rock breaking process, the roller bit sliding bearing is prone to adhesive wear failure during low-speed and heavy-load drilling. In order to improve the anti-wear of the roller bit sliding bearing, circular, rectangular, triangular and composite textures with an area ratio of 10% and a depth of 20 μm were arranged on the bearing journal surface by using nanosecond laser engraving technology. Based on the Hertz similarity theory,a unit experiment scheme was designed to simulate the working conditions of bit bearing. The experimental study on the influence of texture on friction coefficient, surface wear, temperature rise change and microstructure of roller bit sliding bearing was carried out on UMT friction tester. The results show that the circular and rectangular textures have the best friction reducing and anti- wear effect, following by triangle texture, while the composite texture increases the friction coefficient and wear of bit bear- ing. The single texture has little effect on the wear and temperature rise of the specimen, while the composite texture increa- ses the friction and the temperature rise obviously, which is not conducive to prolong the life of the roller bit under the high temperature environment
