Abstract:The static swelling behavior of nitrile rubber(NBR) filled with different content of carbon black was studied by hanging piece device, and the wear behavior under oil lubrication was studied by reciprocating wear tester. The critical load of the NBR wear was investigated. The results show that with the increasing of carbon black content, the hardness, tensile strength and wetting angle of NBR are increased, the mass change rate of NBR swelling is decreased, and the friction coefficient and wear loss of rubber samples are reduced under the same test conditions. When the load is low,the rubber wear does not occur. When the load increases to the critical value, the rubber will wear and the wear amount will increase with the load. With the increasing of carbon black content, the critical wear load of NBR is increased.
