Abstract:In order to develop a twocomponent additive liquid silicone rubber with good adhesion to various substrates, the effects of tackifier type, platinum catalyst mass fraction, active hydrogen content of hydrogenated silicone oil on vulcanization rate and adhesion properties of addition liquid silicone rubber were studied. The results show that when epoxy hydrogen containing ring tackifier and phenyl hydrogen containing tackifier are compounded, the curing rate and adhesion of the silicone rubber to different substrates are better. With the increase of the mass fraction of platinum catalyst and the active hydrogen content of hydrogenated silicone oil,the curing is speeding up,but the bonding strength is first increased and then decreased. When the ratio of epoxy hydrogen containing ring tackifier and phenyl hydrogen containing tackifier is 2∶1,the mass fraction of platinum catalyst is 1.5×10-5 and the mass fraction of active hydrogen in hydrogenated silicone oil is 0.5%,the twocomponent additive liquid silicone rubber can cure completely at 60 ℃ in 20 min,and shows excellent adhesion to different substrates. The tensile shear strength of the silicone rubber to stainless steel and polyphenylene oxide (PPO) substrate reaches 1.8 MPa and 1.1 MPa respectively.
