Abstract:In order to study the influence of the height of restrictor on the performance of aerostatic bearing,a new aerostatic bearing with variable height restrictor was designed.The CFD model of the aerostatic bearing was established,and the influence of the orifice diameter,the chamber depth,the supply pressure and the height of restrictor on the stiffness,loading capacity and volume flow of the aerostatic bearing was analyzed.The results show that the bearing capacity of the aerostatic bearing is gradually increased with the increase of the orifice diameter,the chamber depth,the height of restrictor and the supply pressure.The stiffness of the aerostatic bearing will increase with the increase of the chamber depth,the supply pressure and the height of restrictor,while the increase of the height of restrictor will lead to the decrease of stiffness.The volumetric flow rate of the aerostatic bearing is gradually increased with the increase of the orifice diameter,the chamber depth,the height of restrictor and the supply pressure
