The thermo-elastic-hydrodynamic lubrication performances of thrust bearing with pins and double layer system and Teflon layer for 1 000 MW hydro-generator were analyzed.The calculated results were compared with the measured ones in real operation.The result shows that calculated results are coincident with the experimental measurement results,the pins and double layer system and Teflon layer has the advantage to control the thermal and elastic deformation of the pad,and to improve the performance of thrust bearing.The application on 780 MW Xiluodu unit proves that thrust bearing with Teflon layer is available for large hydro-generator.
