Abstract:A new hydrodynamic suspension polishing method was put forward.This method is based on fluid hydrodynamic lubrication theory,uses the polishing disc at highspeed rotation to drive the slurries and abrasives and realize the process of the surface of workpieces.In order to resolve the nonuniform distribution of surface pressure during polishing,a new type of polishing disc was designed by adding constraint boundary and storage chute based on the hydrodynamictype polishing disc,and the hydrodynamic suspension polishing was realized.The flow field between the polishing disc and the lower disk was simulated by using CFD software,the distribution of fluid pressure at the bottom channel of polishing disc for the hydrodynamictype polishing disc and the new hydrodynamic suspension polishing disc.The results show that the new hydrodynamic suspension polishing tools disc can improve the fluid pressure in the processing region,and make the pressure distribution relatively uniform.
