Abstract:By using the multiphase flow model and the SST turbulence model of CFD simulation software to solving NavierStokes equation,oil film characteristics of three oil wedges bearing were studied.A physical model of three oil wedges bearing was built.By meshing reasonable grids and using CFD simulation software,the oil film characteristics and cavitation distribution characteristics of the lubrication oil in the three oil wedges of three oil wedges sliding bearing were analyzed and calculated,and the influence of rotational speed and viscosity on the lubricating oil cavitation was studied.The oil film characteristics obtained with twophase flow model were compared with those obtained with single phase flow model.The results show that two phase flow model can better reflect the actual oil film characteristics.The oil cavitation phenomenon is easily promoted at high rotational speed of bearing and viscosity of lubricating oil.Viscosity has a greater influence on the primary load bearing field,but rotational speed has a greater influence on the other load bearing fields.
