Abstract:The model of the highspeed hydrodynamic journal bearing was established to analyze the influence of the temperatureviscosity effect on the static and dynamic characteristics of oil film.The coupling governing equations of bearing including the Reynolds equation,energy equation and viscositytemperature equation was derived to obtain the pressure distribution,temperature distribution and viscosity distribution,and the static characteristics such as carryingcapacity,friction and the stiffness coefficients,damping coefficients were acquired.The results indicate that the temperature of oil film rises up in circumferential direction,and reaches the maximum at fracture position,but in axial direction,the temperature changes rarely.When taking the temperatureviscosity effect into account,the load capacity,friction,and volume flow rate are all decreased and the attitude angle is increased,and these changing trends become more obvious with the increasing of rotational speed and the eccentricity ratio.The dynamic characteristics show distinct decrease when taking the temperatureviscosity effect into account,and the degree of the changes is positively related to the rotational speed and the eccentricity ratio.
