Abstract:The mathematical model of journal sliding bearing considering the effect of cavitation was established.The performances of journal sliding bearing were investigated by FLUENT software with revolving speeds,eccentricity and lengthdiameter ratio as variables,and the change of bearing capacity of oil film,eccentricity angle,viscous resistance,occurred position of cavitation and temperature was discussed.The results show that with the increasing of revolving speeds,eccentricity and lengthdiameter ratio,the maximum film pressure,bearing capacity,viscous resistance,gas volume fraction of oil film and the maximum temperature are increased and the eccentricity angle is decreased.Occurred position of cavitation is forward along with the increasing of eccentricity,it provides a reference to observe cavitation location in the experiment.Variation of maximum pressure with eccentricity is more obvious than with revolving speed,and the greater the eccentricity,the greater the maximum film pressure.There is a great influence on the bearing capacity of the bearing oil film by cavitation,and it is more in line with the actual situation when considering the cavitation according to the phenomenon of oil film rupture in the experiment.
