Abstract:The friction pairs composed of PTFE based threelayer sliding bearing composites with different coupled materials have different tribological properties,so it has a great practical significance for optimizing the coupled pairs to study the tribological characteristics of these friction pairs. The tribological properties of PTFE based threelayer sliding bearing materials with different coupled materials were studied, including steel materials, polymers and nonferrous metals. The microstructure of the worn surface of different friction pairs was observed by scanning electron microscope to analyze the friction and wear mechanisms of different friction pairs, and the optimal coupled materials were given. The results show that a better thribological performance can be obtained when PTFE based threelayer sliding bearing material slides against steel materials or polymers, and the wear mechanism is delamination wear. But the poor thribological performance can be obtained when it matched with nonferrous metals, and the wear mechanism is adhesive wear.
