Abstract:A new type of tilting pad bearing flexible supported tilting pad bearing was put forward,in which the traditional mechanical pivot was improved to hydraulic support.Based on the finite difference method,a new iterative method for calculating the center position of journal center was described,and the dynamic characteristics of the bearing were calculated by MatLab program.The dynamic model of inner and outer oil film equivalent mass spring damper system of flexible supported tilting pad bearing was established.The steady and transient response of flexible support tilting pad bearing rotor system was analyzed.The results show that the bearing stiffness of the bearing system with two layers of oil film is less than that of the single oil film system.When the damping of the outer oil film reaches a certain value,the comprehensive support damping of the double layer oil film will exceed the support damping of single layer oil film.Compared with the single oil film bearing,flexible supporting pad has good vibrationdamping characteristics under certain conditions.
