Abstract:A new type of water lubricated Rubber/Plastics composite bearing material was prepared by adding nanometer and ordinary molybdenum disulfide to the matrix material with different additions. The friction and wear properties of the composite material were tested by experiments at different load and speed. The results show that under the same load, the friction coefficient of the composite material is decreased gradually and eventually tend to be stable with the increasing of the relative rotational speed.Under the same speed, the friction coefficient is decreased with the increasing of the load. With the increasing of the amount of molybdenum disulfide, the friction coefficient of the material is decreased, and the nanomaterial has lower friction coefficient than the ordinary micron material.Molybdenum disulfide additive improves the friction property of the composite material, but does not improve the antiwear property of the composite material. The wear form of the modified composite material is adhesive wear and abrasive wear.
