In the field of oil monitoring on the ship equipment,data standardization is the basis of its information modernization and actual effect.Data standardization’s basic contents were proposed,including the data elements,metadata,data classification and coding,and the planning and construction of data standards.The classification of data elements,the model of metadata,the classification criteria and coding rules,and important standards needed were given,which were linked with the actual work of oil monitoring on the ship equipment,thus a basic frame of data standardization for ship equipment’s oil monitoring was established.
