A new type of controllable squeeze film damper(CSFD) was designed,and the vibration characteristics of rotorbearing system supported by CSFD were studied by experiments.The critical speed and vibration shapes of rotorbearing system were obtained by numerical calculation.The rotor vibration test rig was set up,and the signals of displacement of the rotorbearing system under different rotation speeds and different oil supply pressures were tested and analyzed.The experimental results demonstrate that the vibration suppressing effect of CSFD bearing is better than that of general circular bearing.With the oil supply pressure increasing,the vibration amplitude is decreased whether at low speed or high speed,especially at the critical speed.HilbertHuang transform was applied to characterize the displacement signal during the runup period.The result shows that with the increasing of oil supply pressure,the energy is pretty high and the energy diffusion is serious at the resonance region under the critical speed in the vertical direction.
