The research status of tribological behavior of ceramic materials in seawater environment when matched with ceramic materials,metal materials and polymer materials respectively was reviewed,and the development trend and application prospect of ceramic matching materials in seawater environment were presented.It is pointed out that the inhibition and promotion of of water molecules on the friction and wear of friction pairs in seawater environment should be comprehensively considered in the study of ceramic and ceramic friction pairs,the phenomenon of corrosion and water absorption plasticization of the friction parts should be considered in the study of ceramic and polymer friction parts,the quantitative analysis of the interaction between chemical corrosion and mechanical wear should be improved in the study of ceramic and metal friction parts.It is suggested that a database of testing technology for ceramic friction pairs should be established and an evaluation system should be developed so as to make the evaluation index of material properties of ceramic friction pairs quantitative and quantitative.
