The prediction model of rail corrugation on a sharp curved track was established based on the theory that the frictional selfexcited vibration leads to rail corrugation.Based on the original finite element model of wheelsettrack system,the wheelaxle contact relationship model with friction contact property and interference fit was established by separating the wheels from the axles.The influence of interference fit simulation and integral wheelset simulation methods on prediction results of rail corrugation was investigated.The simulation results show that the main unstable vibration frequency of the wheelsettrack system obtained by interference fit simulation method is close to the frequency of rail corrugation measured on site,indicating that the interference fit simulation method is better than the integral wheelset simulation method,which can improve the accuracy of rail corrugation prediction.The effect of unilateral wheeltrack friction coefficient on rail corrugation was studied by using the established rail corrugation prediction model.It is shown that controlling the friction coefficient of outer wheelsettrack has little effect on rail corrugation,an appropriately small friction coefficient of the inner wheelsettrack can suppress rail corrugation.
