Abstract:The threestepped labyrinth seal structure between the compressor stages was studied as the object of study. The effects of the gaps of the labyrinth, the depth of the labyrinth, the angle of inclination of the labyrinth, the height of bushing slot on leakage characteristic, windage heating characteristics, and swirling characteristics were studied. The results show that the sealing gap and the front inclined angle have a significant effect on the sealing performance. With the decrease of the sealing gap,the actual leakage mass flow is decreased significantly, the windage heating of the system is increased, and the swirl ratio of the system is decreased. When the sealing gap is decreased from 10 mm to 02 mm,the actual leakage flow is decreased by 73%,the windage heating of the system id increased by 78 K,and the system swirl ratio is decreased from 033 to 027.With the increase of the front angle, the actual leakage mass flow is decreased slightly and the windage heating of the system is increased slightly. When the front inclined angle is increased from 0° to 30°,the actual leakage mass flow is decreased by 20%,and the system windage heating is increased by 7 K.Therefore, the leakage flow can be reduced by appropriately reducing the sealing gap and increasing the front inclined angle of the labyrinth.
