Abstract:A highspeed rolling bearing test rig was used to conduct experimental study for the skid damage of rolling bearing, and the critical speed of the skid damage under different operating conditions was obtained. The influence of different running time on the degree of wear of the rolling bearing under the critical speed of the skid damage, and the influence of running at higher speed on the wear degree of the rolling bearing after the skid damage happens were studied. The results show that the rolling bearing has a sharp rise in friction torque, temperature and vibration acceleration when the skid damage happens, and the critical speed of the skid damage of the bearing is lower under the condition of inadequate lubrication and light load. The longer the running time of the rolling bearing under the critical speed of the skid damage is,the more serious the wear is.This may be due to the damage to the surface smoothness of the rolling bearing by skid damage, resulting in an increase in friction coefficient, which leads an increase in wear rate. After the skid damage of rolling bearing happens,it may be more likely to cause secondary quenching burns to the bearing if the rolling bearings continue to operate at a higher speed, which greatly reduces the service life of bearings.
