Abstract:To improve the tensile strength of the flexible graphite film,graphite films were prepared with two kinds of expansible graphite,and the conditions to improve its mechanical properties were explored from the aspects of the properties of raw materials,the extrusion temperature,the molding pressure,the density of flexible graphite film and the pressing technology.The results show that the tensile strength of the flexible graphite film is increased with the increasing of graphite particle size,expansion temperature,molding pressure and material density within the range of variables.When the particle size range of selected expandable graphite is (-0.425+0.300 mm),the puffing temperature is 1 000 ℃,the pressing pressure is 28 MPa,the pressures of a fivetime pressing process are sequentially 3,10,16,28,28 MPa,and the density of the flexible graphite film is 1.46 g/cm3,the tensile strengths of two kinds of flexible graphite films are 5.68 and 5.26 MPa,respectively,which is greatly improved compared with that before optimization.
