Abstract:By using dynamic meshes technique, four different mazes tooth structure were numerically simulated to study on the effects on the straightthrough labyrinth compressor sealing performance by tooth. The results show that, when the gap, labyrinth tooth height and pitch are constants, the changes of tooth profile have greater effects on sealing performance of the labyrinth seal, among which the labyrinth cavity formed by trapezia tooth has optimal effects on energy consumption,so its Leak proof effect is the best, followed of which is the tooth profiles of rectangle, round, and triangular tooth. The dynamic meshes analysis technique can even more truly and accurately show the energy consumption process of air in the labyrinth cavity during continuous motion of the piston, therefore the calculation result is more true and accurate.
