The waste turbine oil and film bearing oil were recycled to get rid of nonideal components and add suitable additives by the regeneration additive method. For characteristics of the steam turbine and bearing friction material,steel-steel and steel-copper materials were chosen to study the tribological properties of the recycled turbine oil and film bearing oil in different experimental conditions, such as different loads and speeds by the four-ball friction tester. The experimental results were compared with those of the corresponding new oils. Results show that the recycled oils have extensive lubrication at different loads and speeds for different friction materials(steel/steel and copper/steel).Their anti-wear and friction reducing properties reach and even exceed the new oils’.
